Custom software for small businesses tired of doing it by hand.

I turn the spreadsheets, sticky notes, and repetitive work holding your business together into simple software built around how you actually work.

Most small businesses don’t need more software. They need better-fitting software.

Off-the-shelf tools leave gaps your team fills by hand.

Traditional custom development can turn a simple problem into a giant project.

Thread is built for everything in between.

You bring the problem. I’ll figure out the software.

  1. 1

Tell me what's slowing you down

A 20-minute call or a short form. You describe your week. No jargon.

  2. 2

Get a fixed price and a plan

You know exactly what you're getting, what it costs, and when, before you pay anything.

  3. 3

    See it working

Weekly demos on bigger projects. Team training. 30 days of post-launch fixes.

Three ways to work together.

  1. Custom business app

ShaunaFounder and builderHonolulu, Hawaiʻi

One person. Start to finish.

You talk to the person building your software, not an account manager. I explain things in plain English, show progress every week, and stick around after launch.

I work with businesses in Hawaii and across the mainland, and I price competitively because I don't have an office full of overhead to cover.

With 10+ years across technology, design, and operations, I’ve built for organizations including Apple, Nike, local businesses, and nonprofits. Thread brings that experience to growing companies that need thoughtful, custom software without hiring a large agency or internal development team.

Everything I build is yours, documented, and built on tools any developer knows. You're never locked in to me.

Common questions.

Do I need to know anything about software?

No. You know your business. I handle the technical side and explain anything you want to understand.

What if it doesn't work the way I expected?

That's what weekly demos are for. You see progress every week and we adjust as we go. Every project includes 30 days of fixes after launch.

What happens if you're unavailable?

You own the code and the accounts. Everything is built with common, well-documented tools, and I hand over full documentation so any competent developer can pick it up.

Is the price really fixed?

Yes. Once we agree on scope, the price doesn't change. Additions later get scoped and priced separately.

Are there ongoing costs?

Hosting for most small business apps runs $10 to $50 a month, and I tell you the number up front. No surprise fees.

Do you work with businesses outside Hawaii?

Yes. Most of my work is remote and I work with clients across the mainland US.

Get a free automation audit.

Tell me how your week actually runs. Within one business day I’ll send back a short written reply, with a video walking through the two things worth automating first and what each would take. No cost, no pitch.

  1. 01You describe your week.
  2. 02I send a short audit.
  3. 03You decide what to do next.
Which of these happen by hand? Tick any

A few sentences is enough. Who does it, how often, and where the information ends up.

No cost. No obligation. I won’t add you to any list.
